Held rain or shine by Team Chameleon (USCF Permit #2012-pending) Register online prior to Thursday, August 9, 2012, 5:00 PM ET or mail check payable to Tour de Millersburg & standard USCF release to Chris Dietz, 277 Union St. Millersburg, PA 17061 (must be post marked by August 4th).  Additional surcharges could apply for electronic registration. There will be a $10 fee for walk up registration on Saturday. There will be no Sunday registration.

The Tour de Millersburg is a neutral water event. Free water will be provided for racers.

The 10 mile Time Trial is a mostly flat, out and back course along the Susquehanna River North of town. A 37 foot elevation drop at the edge of town will help get you up to speed. There is a tricky quarter mile climb at the one mile mark with a 28 foot elevation gain to contend with on the way out, and again at the 8.5 mile mark on the way home. Which do you choose – remain in your aero tuck, or stand and dance on the pedals? Make sure you leave enough gas in the tank to cover that last climb into town near the finish line. The course starts at 300 Market St. Racers leave every :30 seconds.

The TdM Criterium is sure to impact your strategy for the weekend. The course includes two .25 mile legs and two .08 mile legs. There is a 45’ uphill elevation change between the 3rd and 4th corners. The course is fast overall, but with 90 degree corners. Start/Finish Line will be located at intersection of Moore St. & Church St.

In addition to northern Dauphin County’s beautiful terrain, we also have great roads. Big sets of rollers will have you in the red briefly. Power players will be up to the task. There will be some longer climbs, but they are not steep. After that it’s all speed and tactics. Time Trialists get the wink, but deliver your sprinter and you can steal the show! We will be using a “rolling enclosure” with Millersburg Police and motorcycles to provide lead and sweep duties. If you get dropped, stay to the right and abide by the rules of the road! Feed zone will be at 200 Market St. Start/Finish line at 400 Market St.

STAGE POINTS – 1st-1pt, 2nd-2pt, 3rd-3pt, 4th-4pt, 1 pt more for each consecutive position thereafter. The rider with the lowest cumulative points will be the winner of the GC. If there is a tie for the GC points, the best place finish on the Road Race will determine the winner. You must complete each stage to be eligible for the next. BAR Points will be awarded for each completed stage, not for the GC. If there are less than 15 registered racers for any one category, the purse will be reduced to 50% of registration for that category.
