Bicycle Safety Course
For Children of all ages!
The Millersburg Police Department will host a bicycle safety course in between bike events. It is open to kids that would like to learn about bike safety. They will get a goodie bag and possibly a door prize. The following items will be covered by the course.
Safety Lecture: to include
- Traffic Laws
- Rules of the roadway
- Responsibility of parents or guardians
- Requirements for night time riding
- Helmets
- Maintenance of bicycles
Slow Speed Riding Drills
- 3 separate courses
Obstacle Course
Registration of Bicycles
*** Each child must bring their own bicycle and helmet to the event. Police Officers will inspect the bicycles and helmets for safety prior to participating in the event. The event is open to children of all ages (even adults). It will be held on Saturday, August 13th at 9:30am on Market Street across from the Millersburg Hardware store.
